Learn to Make Soap

You can make your own soap at home too! Come learn about pH, safety measures and scents when making your own soaps. Emily from Bridge Acres Farm is back to teach you how to make soap using the hot and cold processing methods. You’ll leave with a bar of soap and the knowledge to make your own soap at home. This is a 2-hour class.

Making Herbal Allies

Join Norah from Dancing Pines Apothecary for this 2 hour, make and take Menstrual Wellness Workshop. It covers The Phases of the Menstrual Cycle:
– The role of hormones, what they do in the body and signs/signals of disharmony & how our body communicates when something is off
– specific Herbal allies for each part of the cycle & the ways they can bring balance back to our cycles
– Tips on managing PMS, balanced phases, healthy blood flow, fertility and menopause
– Finding harmony and balance within the phases including menopause. Attendees will create their own personal herbal tea’s, customized to support and nurture the phase of life you’re currently in. Tickets are sold separately for this hands-on workshop.

Dairy Goat Milking & Care

Join Bridge Acres Farm for a hands-on dairy goat class. In this class, Emily will teach you all about caring for dairy goats along with the proper way to milk a goat. Since this is a hands-on class you will also get to milk the goats of Bridge Acres Farm. This is a 2 hour class.

Chicken Harvest Class

Join Charley from Charley’s Chicks for this hands-on class where you will have a thorough explanation of harvesting meat chickens. You will then process your own meat chicken to take home for dinner. Please bring a small cooler with ice. This is a 2 hour class. 18 and up for hands-on experience. Kids 10 and older are welcome to watch.

Quail Harvest Class

Learn how to keep and process quail for a fast, homegrown protein source. This is a hands-on workshop where you will take home the meat you process. Please bring a small cooler with ice. This is a 2 hour workshop. 18 and up for hands-on experience. Kids 10 and older are welcome to watch.

Meat Rabbit Harvest

Join Beth & Randy from Two Horse Ranch to learn all about raising, handling, and harvesting meat rabbits on the homestead. Your ticket is good for two adults to attend. This is a hands-on class where you will take home the meat that you clean and process, a gambrel, along with the best knife for harvesting rabbits, plans for building a hutch, and literature about raising meat rabbits. Please bring a small cooler with ice. This is a 2-hour workshop. 18 and up for hands-on experience.
Cost: $100 (Covers two adults with lots of extras!)
